Fried Ice Cream

 

Ingredients:

Vanilla Ice Cream 

Puffed Rice Cereal/Rice Crispies

Cinnamon Chex

All Purpose Flour

Eggs

Milk

Caramel Sauce

Chocolate Sauce

Powdered Sugar


Tips and Tricks

-pick what’s ever ice cream flavor is your favorite!

-be sure to freeze the uncoated ice cream for 2 hr sss and the coated for 4hrs to 24hrs for best result!

-don’t over “season” your cereal  it can mess with your fryer

-leave some “large”/ whole pieces of your cereal mix intact for added texture

-making your own chocolate caramel sauce at home isn’t hard and taste better in my opinion but, it isn’t necessary. Do what you think is best

-if using a thermometer to temp frying oil it should be 375, if not throw a left over piece of coating in the oil it should begin the sizzle and bubble immediately. If doesn’t  it’s not hot enough of it browns to quickly it’s too hot.

-this is a dish you want to fry and serve, otherwise it’ll just melt. Refreezing will give you a soggy outer crust.
