Manifesto
Out-dated kitchen traditions have long been overdue for a revamp/reboot, and for the modern day individual, the expectation to live by these age old ways has decre- aesd their level of confidence in being self-capable.
Our mission at KARVIN KATERS is to provide today’s curious kitchen enthusiast with the one tool no one who steps into the kitchen can live without... CONFIDENCE.
We’ve taken it a step further and have coined our disruptive mission “KITCHEN KONFIDENCE”, for the modern day millenial who aims to remove the flash in the pan antics from the kitchen and replace it with good old fashion curiosity, confidence and common sense.
With this platform we’ll teach them how to develop great tasting, affordable meals that don’t require complicated tools, all while giving them the roadmap they need to maintain a sustainable knowledge of kitchen-how-to’s.
Recipe Collection
Here's a collection of my recipes.
A few things to note when reading these recipes :
My recipes occasionally may look more like guidelines rather than recipes with true measurements. This is done on purpose we should not get hung up on tiny details all the time because again cooking is subjective and so are taste buds. These recipes are gonna be delivered like your grandmother would hand it down, with a pinch here and feel for this texture. If the measurement is instrumental to the recipe it will be noted so fear not chefs.

Tropical Shrimp Cevechie
Karvin Katers Signature Cevechie
poached shrimp, juicy sweet mangos and strawberries tossed in a tart and slightly spicy passion fruit and aji amarillo dressing with herbaceous cilantro undertones.

Penne Alla Vodka
Penne Alla Vodka, made because of popular demand, skip the jarred stuff and make the sauce from scratch the difference is there!

Crispy Smashed Potatoes
By far one of the easiest but, moist satisfying way to enjoy potatoes. Looking for a side dish, bam this works! looking for a salty snack bam this works! looking for something aesthetic and different to serve to some guest babam this also works!

Honey Roasted Peanut Chicken

Oreo Crusted Donuts
Now Ive never claimed to be a pastry chef, in fact if you know me you know that I don’t have the patience or discipline of a pastry chef. But that doesn’t mean I don’t dabble! These ugly little Oreo Crusted Donuts though are truly delicious, I finally achieved the light airy fried pillow greatness that donuts are meant to be. I will admit though technique is a little sad for this video but we are here to eat and be visually appealing through trial and error! so read the notes on this one and don’t fall in the same pits I did!

Pork Souvlaki

Fried Ice Cream! For the nights (hehe anytime really) where you want to indulge! Crispy cereal coating, creamy vanilla center, a trio of caramel, vanilla bean and chocolate sauce.

Mofongo de Chicharron
Is it Puerto Rican or Dominican dish!? Ehhh lets call it Caribbean Latin Cuisine. (cause Im gonna be bias about it to be honest) What we can all agree on though is that this garlicky, crispy, juicy dome of pork belly and plantain is a favorite amongst everyone.

Gyoza Dumplings
Pan Fried Pork Gyoza dumplings, relatively easy to prepare with wrappers found in your Asian market. Learning how to seal these bad boys may prove to be a challenge to some, but after the first 5 you should be fine!
